CampStove – Outdoor Energy System
CampStove is basically a portable stove. The product is made by a start-up named ‘BioLite’ in New York City. Jonathan Cedar and Alexander Drummond both together developed the BioLite stove technology. Both of them met while working at Smart Design in New York City. Both got interested to invest in portable stove that would work by the burning of woods and also have battery powered fans.
The BioLite Company released their first portable stove named as CampStove in 2012. CampStove is for outdoor enthusiastic people who love to go out every now and then. There is no need to carry baked foods, fruits, packaged food for your trip if you have CampStove. CampStove can easily cook food for you. You only need some wood sticks, branches, leaves, pine cones to light the stove and cook food for yourself. CampStove replaces the use of resources like petrol or charcoal. So here CampStove proves to be Eco-friendly.
After 4 years, company launched the upgraded version of the CampStove which is named after CampStove as “CampStove 2”. The company claims that CampStove 2 produces more power as compared to original model. Also, it comes with flex light which is easily bendable and can be turned on or off by tap. CampStove 2 contains a removable 2600 mAh battery. This battery charges automatically when the fire roars up and later the battery can be removed to connect to headlamp, GoPro, camera, phones or any other small electronic devices. Dimension of CampStove is 8.23 x 5 x 5 inches. CampStove 2 also has LED controls and improved combustion compared to CampStove. It has 3 led lights which gives indication for battery charge, fan speed, and heat temperature inside CampStove. Weight of the CampStove is 935g only. CampStove contains an internal fan which plays a very important role in fire lightening. The electricity obtained from the heat is also given to the internal fan which in turn rotates and pumps more oxygen which allows CampStove to create super-efficient fire of even high temperature. It also contains 3 aluminium foldable legs which makes stove to sit comfortably on the ground. Also, it has a honeycomb heat mesh which is protective barrier from inner chamber. CampStove can boil 1 litre of water in just 4.5 minutes. The fire is really efficient and smokeless in CampStove. Price of CampStove 2 is quite higher as compared to original CampStove. You’ll get CampStove original for $325 and CampStove2 for $610. It is recommendable to the people who prefer outdoor activities every now and then. Now one can easily cook food at any place and at any time, you will just need some veggies, water, or any non-veg uncooked food. BioLite is also selling cookware like kettle pot and portable grill which can be used along with the CampStove.
